Another major quality of P L and Suneetabai is their love of poetry. They have done Marathi poetry a good turn by presenting poetry recital programmes of three poets B S Mardhekar, B B Borkar and Arti Prabhu. Poetry, especially the poetry of the kind these three major poets have written, is not everybody's cup of tea. It's a sad reality. Mardhekar has for years been flayed for being unintelligible. Arti Prabhu too is not quite easy for an average reader. And quite a few miss the rhythm and with it most of the fun in Borkar's poems. So when P L and Suneetatai started reading their poems, it was an open sesame for many.
