P L and Suneetabai share a common love _ poetry. ``Reading poetry was not just a pastime for us. It was a basic need. It has been a tender bond between us, during our life full ups and downs,'' says he. And it was not just reading and keeping the book aside. The couple literally has lived poetry. And then, at one such `poetic' moment; which was a bliss for both, an idea suddenly occurred to them. Why not share this joy with others! They did not stop at the thought. That was the beginning of their public sessions of poetry recitals. They presented a selection of the poetry of B.S. Mardhekar, B.B. Borkar and Arti Prabhu. All the programmes became immensely popular.
